MEET DONNA

FOUNDER & CEO

Donna is a driven entrepreneur with a passion for helping corporate leaders and business owners make their mark, her superpower lies in her ability to inspire lasting mindset shifts and impart tangible, practical advice. She is in her ‘happy place’ curating branding and marketing strategies and focusing on getting businesses a real return on their marketing investment.

In addition to having spoken to and trained leaders across more than 25 blue chip clients (incl. ABSA, Microsoft, McKinsey, Standard Bank, Nedbank, Deloitte, and SAB), Donna has held several Marketing Director positions in organisations (incl. Nando’s, the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and DNA Supply Chains) as well as Marketing Management positions at Standard Bank and AECI.

In addition to being the CEO of Brightside, she is the co-founder and CEO of Ignite (a business focused on fast-tracking the development and growth of leaders and top talent in the workplace) and CEO of Branding & Marketing YOU (a business focused on helping organisations build their brands from their most important assets – their ‘people’)

She is an avid angel investor with a focus on the fintech and social impact space. She is also the author of 4 books (including 2 best sellers); a lecturer at GIBS and has lectured at Yale on the Yali (Young African Leadership Initiative) programme.

MEET NADIA

CHIEF OPERATING MANAGER

Nadia  is part of the strategic marketing team and responsible for overall marketing, operations, finance, and team management of Brightside Marketing.

With over a decade of experience in marketing strategy development and marketing execution, as well as brand and product management, Nadia has worked with start-ups, growth-stage businesses, and blue-chip companies in both B2B and B2C environments across an impressive array of sectors. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce and  has a MBA in Brand Management.

Her strength lies in her ability to combine robust skill sets with strong marketing knowledge to provide extraordinary marketing solutions aligned with clients’ needs.

MEET JOANNA

HEAD OF CLIENT RELATIONS

With extensive experience in marketing, client management and public relations, Joanna’s responsibilities include developing and executing  marketing & PR strategies as well as ensuring client results are delivered.

Joanna holds a BA Corporate Communications and her creative insights demonstrate her perceptive and remarkable ability to meticulously connect dots unseen – seeing unique solutions and opportunities where others don’t. By fusing a thorough understanding of integrated marketing elements with innovative and creative thinking, this results-driven client whisperer manages to find the sweet spot – keeping her eye on the bottom line while building brand love for clients, and maintaining positive relationships with her clients, suppliers, and colleagues.

MEET INGE

ACCOUNT & DIGITAL EXECUTIVE

As a digital marketing specialist, Inge-Mari blends strategic thinking and creativity. She is driven by the belief that digital marketing is not just about promoting products or services, it’s about creating connections and telling stories that resonate with people on a deeper level.

With a BA Honours in Strategic Brand Communication and a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing Management, Inge weaves together academic knowledge, practical experience, and personal values into a cohesive narrative that drives results. Her story is one of continuous growth and unwavering dedication to making a difference in the digital marketing realm.
